MY LIVING ROOM Take 2 AND MORE

I posted back in January about my living room and things already have started evolving in a more colorful and layered look. You can find pics of my living room then here.

I added colorful pillows and accessories, like the plates on the wall. I also introduced small stools: the saturated yellow velvet picks up the gold leaf detail on the painting's frame and lamps and the light brown stripe in the pillow and the circle shape is repeated in the polkadot ikat pillow and in the plates creating a playful repetition.

I was hoping to receive the new coffee table we purchased during our December trip to Morocco and build a stand for my vintage Laura Biaggiotti leather suitacse (my mother's Christmas gift... I know - so cool) but none of my plans actually planned out..sight! The coffee table did arrive but it was SO damaged I could not accept the delivery and decided to let that dream go. My husband was happy to take the refund and put right into our trip to Thailand. We just got back and I am going through the pictures! What a beautiful place..

But anyway, even with setbacks the living room already carries a more light and exotic aesthetic AND my house was published in a magazine!

The Deputy Editor of Arabian Homes, lovely Nicola, is such an eloquent writer and sweet person. What felt like an afternoon chat about life, kids and design became a pretty magazine spread and interview.

I am very thankful for this experience.
